[fiction] ... a billionaire realestate agent takes on the task of
melting the Greenland glacial ice cap into a continent-wide spa by
hundred-gigatonne linear thermonuclear device - the detonation itself is
half the movie ... subsequently his operation discovers, not greenzilla,
but very probably the real lost continent of Atlantis "buried under a mile
of water" albeit now frozen millennia later.
The movie shall be available primarily digitally recorded wide-screen
[2:1] 'stereo-eyes-ed' on digital video disk or digital video tape. The
initial 'shoot' shall be direct minute-by-minute to giga-byte hard-drive,
4 megapixels/frame, wavelet-compressed, copy-saved to CDROM - the digitized
sound and music edited in synchronized fractions [frames] of a second -
and the final product released on HDDV (digital video) Disk. The advantage
of digital video is its reproducibility for the future of both broadcast

and movie-house. Image generation shall be further enhanced and assisted
by state-of-the-art computer facility. The final result shall be viewable

By constructing a mile-long linear thermonuclear
device, a fission device at one end, encased in an x-ray focusing parabolic
mirror aimed down the cylinder length of foam encased uranium-clad lithium-deuteride
core, the light and heat production is maximized broadside to the column,
about a factor of 1000x over a simple point detonation used in military
ICBM-payloaded devices, and a total release on the order of 100 gigatonnes
TNT-equivalent. This lights-up the ice-cap, melting a few thousand square
miles across, spreading hot water across the top, creating a shallow water
shore overlapping the ice edges, and potential $billions in glacial realestate
for this unique locale at the edge of the arctic circle where a day and

and that spells, Greenland, one big ice cap place nobody thinks about much,
except nuclear warriors, and there are plenty of those in the Pentagon,
so this should be a piece of cake - with ice cream.
